The beach. A place where earth, sea and sky meet. An ever changing environment.
The tracks in the sand are the silent memories of the past. They connect us to the people and animals that walked on the same beach as we now do, heard the same breaking waves, gazed at the same sky.
They also remind us of the fragility of our existence. The blowing wind and the rising tide wash them away, not leaving any memory of those who made them behind.
Just like everything in the universe, the tracks have a beginning and an end. They are formed, exist for a while and then fade and disappear.
Through this series of photographs, I try to preserve these memories a little longer.
